Another play, this time in Albuquerque

Back in 1007, I arranged for Robert Ben­jam­in’s PARTED WATERS to have a staged read­ing by the Ari­zona Jew­ish The­ater Com­pa­ny at the annu­al con­fer­ence of The Soci­ety for Cryp­to-Juda­ic Stud­ies in Phoenix. To my knowl­edge, that was the first pre­sen­ta­tion of the play in any form.

Last March, the Ari­zona Jew­ish The­ater Com­pa­ny offered the work in Phoenix for a mul­ti-week run. Then, last sum­mer, I saw a one-time per­for­mance in Albu­querque, designed to solic­it cri­tiques from a select­ed audience. 

To his cred­it, the play­wright has con­tin­ued to regard the play as a work in progress, seek­ing feed­back from audi­ences at per­for­mances and read­ings, eager to assure that the piece tru­ly reflects the sub­ject of cryp­to Judaism not only to the gen­er­al audi­ence, but espe­cial­ly to those view­ers for whom the sub­ject has per­son­al mean­ing in his/her family.

Now the play is com­ing to Albu­querque. Here is the infor­ma­tion sent us today via email:
